**There is no school on Friday, April 15 as it is Good Friday. There is also no school on Monday, April 18 for Easter Sunday. Enjoy your 4-day long weekend!
MATH
Number Talks
  • 3 Act Tasks - estimating amounts, lengths, and more.
Measurement
  • I can understand the different units of measurement and how they are related (mm, cm, m, km).
  • I can use a ruler to measure items and draw lengths.
  • I can estimate lengths and use the units of measurement correctly.

LITERACY
Reading
  • I can read indpendently for up to 20 minutes.
  • I can share my reading choices with others.
Word Work
  • I can use my knowledge of letter sounds and combinations to make words with different sets of letters.
  • I can break down words into vowels, consonants, and syllables, and work on rhyming, writing sentences, and finding more words with those letters.
Writing (school wide write)
  • I can make notes with words and pictures about a topic.
  • I can brainstorm ideas independently and with a group.
  • I can write several sentences independently, using my notes and previously brainstormed words and ideas.
