Homework week 35

Important:
Remember that Indigenous People have gone by many names over the years, and that any reference to names that are not politically correct are not my doing, but how the resources were made years ago.

Hardships

LEARNING GOALS:
  • I can recognize that the Indigenous Peoples suffered devastating hardships while the Europeans were unprepared for the harsh conditions upon settling in Canada.
  • The Indigenous Peoples and early settlers faced diseases, shortage of resources, and conflicts.
WAYS TO SUPPORT AT HOME:
  • Watch videos and read books about the early settlers and what Canada was like for the settlers and indigenous peoples.
  • Encourage your child to ask questions, then help them find the answers.
