Leaving Home

LEARNING GOALS:

• I can understand that when European settlers arrived in Canada, they forced the Indigenous Peoples to leave their homes and traditional territories to make room for European settlements.
  

WAYS TO SUPPORT AT HOME:

• Watch videos and read books about the early settlers and what Canada was like for the settlers and indigenous peoples.
• Encourage your child to ask questions, then help them find the answers.
