Remember that Indigenous People have gone by many names over the years, and that any reference to names that are not politically correct are not my doing, but how the resources were made years ago.

  • I can recognize that for thousands of years, the First Peoples or Indigenous Peoples lived on the land we now call Canada.
WAYS TO SUPPORT AT HOME:
  • Watch videos and read books about the early settlers and what Canada was like for the settlers and indigenous peoples.
  • Encourage your child to ask questions, then help them find the answers.
