Homework week 26

Important:
Remember that Indigenous People have gone by many names over the years, and that any reference to names that are not politically correct are not my doing, but how the resources were made years ago.

Responsibilities: Then and now

LEARNING GOALS:
  • I can compare and contrast the different responsibilities that men, women, and children had in their communities from the beginning of the 19th century to now.
  • I can identify the responsibilities that members of my family have today.
WAYS TO SUPPORT AT HOME:
  • Watch videos and read books about the early settlers and what Canada was like for the settlers and indigenous peoples.
  • Talk about how things are different and the same now as they were during this time period.
  • Encourage your child to ask questions, then help them find the answers.
