LEARNING GOALS:
  • I can identify different parts of speech.
  • I can identify adjectives and adverbs.
  • I can use adjectives and adverbs in my writing to make it more descriptive.
WAYS TO SUPPORT AT HOME:
  • Point out the descriptive language when reading or telling stories.
  • Identify the adjectives and adverbs in what you read with your child.
  • Practice writing really "juicy" stories using descriptive language.
  • Try to make seemingly boring stories interesting by adding details.
